New Perspectives Psychology Practice specializes in lifespan psychological consultation, assessment and therapy.

If you are seeking a psychological assessment or a once off consultation to explore a specific challenge we are here to listen with compassion and provide recommendations and intervention.

Our Services

Psychology Consultation

  • A pre-consultation questionnaire is completed before the appointment for review with one of our psychologists. This allows for a focused session with maximum benefit. The consultation itself will involve meeting with one of the psychology team to explore what you would like support with. One of the psychologists will formulate your presenting challenges and provide their clinical recommendations on what approach will be most helpful for you. Together you agree on a plan/goals for moving forward.

  • Session Rate: €200

Individual Therapy

  • Individual therapy sessions focused on moving you towards your goals and overcoming challenges.The type and frequency of therapy will be tailored to you. 

    What is included?

    Individual appointment with one of our psychologists to work on specific goals and challenges.

    Between session check-ins via email.

    Between session home tasks (not mandatory but highly recommended).

Parent Consultation

  • This is a consultation recommended for parents who are seeking advice and information to help them navigate the challenges of parenting and in supporting their child. One or both parents/legal guardians can attend the session. The pre-consultation questionnaire will inform the advice provided and ensure the maximum benefit from the allocated time.

    What is included?

    Pre-consultation questionnaire to maximise the time for problem solving, advice and recommendations during your appointment.

    Online appointment with one of our psychologists.

    Post consultation summary with a list of recommendations and advice.

  • Initial Parenting Consultation: €220

    Follow-Up Parent Session: €140

Child ADHD Assessments

  • An ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) assessment involves a comprehensive process to gather information, rule out other possible diagnoses, and confirm whether an individual meets the criteria for ADHD. The assessment process includes The completion of parent ADHD questionnaires; Parent online interview; Teacher questionnaires and phone interview; a cognitive assessment; child observation and interview session; online feedback; comprehensive report. The assessment also includes an ADHD resource and recommendation pack for parents.

  • An ADHD assessment takes place over 3 appointments.

    1. Meet with parents online for 90 -120 minute interview.

    2. Meet young person and parents in person for the cognitive assessment, observation and interview (3 hours).

    3. Feedback online for 60 minutes.

  • €1500 payable prior to the first appointment. Payment plans of 3 instalments can also be organised.

Adult ADHD Assessments

  • An ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) assessment involves a comprehensive process to gather information, rule out other possible diagnoses, and confirm whether an individual meets the criteria for ADHD. The assessment process includes The completion of ADHD questionnaires; two detailed interview session; online feedback; comprehensive report. The assessment also includes an ADHD resource and recommendations.

  • An ADHD assessment takes place over 3 appointments.

    1. Online interview for 60 minutes.

    2. In person or 2nd online interview for 60 minutes. Informant interview (e.g parent, spouse, partner) (45 minutes)

    3. Feedback online for 60 minutes.

    The report is shared approximately 4 weeks after the feedback session.

  • €1200 payable prior to the first appointment. Payment plans of 3 instalments can also be organised.

Child Psychoeducational/ Learning Assessments

  • This type of assessment involves evaluating a child’s learning, thinking, academic and daily living skills depending on the reason for referral.

    This type of assessment may identify learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyscalculia or general learning difficulties.

  • The assessment typically takes place at one 3 hour appointment.

  • Session Rate: €900

Adult Autism Assessments

  • An Adult Autism identification assessment involves a comprehensive process to gather information about your experiences and how they relate to autism. We use a neuroaffirmative and strengths based approach. The assessment process includes; completion of online questionnaires; two detailed interview sessions; an interview with a close family member or friend; online feedback; comprehensive report. The assessment also includes resources and recommendations about autism and the autistic community.

    1. Two online interviews (90 minutes & 60 minutes)

    2. One online interview with a nominated informant (45 minutes)

    3. One feedback session (60 minutes online)

    The report is shared approximately 4 weeks after the feedback session.

Parents Post Diagnostic
ADHD Group (online)

  • We are delighted to offer this 3 part series for parents whose children have received an ADHD diagnosis and want to learn more about ADHD and supporting their child.

  • Three 75 minute sessions over 3 weeks.

  • Cost: €150/family
    (both parents can attend).
