Dr. Emma O’Byrne

Dr Emma O’Byrne is a Clinical Psychologist and Chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (M13131C). She is also a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland’s Special Interest Group in Private Practice, and the Special Interest Group in Autism. Dr. Emma obtained a BA in Psychology from University College Dublin, an MSc in Health Psychology from Middlesex University in London and her Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College Cork. During her studies and professional career, she has published several academic research papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at conferences.

Dr. Emma has a breadth of clinical experience working with clients across the lifespan in a variety of settings. She worked in the public health system for over 7 years in mental health, primary care, neurodevelopmental and acute hospital settings. She has worked with a specialist autism diagnostic service, a dyslexia assessment service and within a cognitive behavioural therapy practice. Dr. Emma is trained and experienced in providing evidence-based assessments and therapy for psychological, neurodevelopmental and relational challenges using her breadth of experience and clinical skills to tailor the process to each client’s specific needs. Dr. Emma’s approach to psychological assessment, diagnosis and intervention always follows the NICE best practice guidelines. As a chartered member of the Psychological Society of Ireland Dr. Emma works under the governance of the society’s Ethical Principles.

Emma is also a qualified yoga teacher completing 200 hours of training at Sampoorna Yoga School Goa, India in 2022. This training has allowed her to integrate some elements of breath work, movement and mindfulness into her therapeutic work when indicated and agreed with the client. She is a runner, coffee lover and human being who loves working with individuals, parents and families during the times of challenge in their life.
Dr. Niamh Brazil

Dr Niamh Brazil is a Clinical Psychologist and Charterd member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) (M14895C). She is also a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland’s Special Interest Group for Psychologists in Private Practice. Dr Niamh obtained a BA in Psychology (2013-2016), and an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience (2016-2017) from the University of Galway, and recently received her Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Trinity College Dublin (2021-2024). Dr Niamh completed her doctoral thesis on women’s experience of coercive control.

Dr Niamh has over seven years experience working in public services with clients across the lifespan in a variety of settings. She currently works full time in a HSE Primary Care Psychology lifespan service. Dr Niamh has completed a variety of clinical placements during her doctorate training such as in Community Adult Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Childrens Disability Network Team (CDNT), Adult Disability, Psychiatry of Old Age, a Specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder Team, and a specialist placement in Children’s Health Ireland (CHI). Dr Niamh has also worked in the Irish Prison Service (IPS) prior to her clinical training.

Dr Niamh is trained and experienced in providing evidenced-based assessments and therapy for psychological, neurodevelopmental, and relational challenges. Dr Niamh typically offers interventions for a range of psychological presentations, which are informed by approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). She endevours to be neurodiversity affirmative in her approach. Dr Niamh works in line with the PSI’s Code of Professional Ethics, GDPR, and NICE best practice guidelines.
Dr. Jennifer Ward

Dr Jennifer Ward is a Psychologist, Lecturer, and Positive Psychology Practitioner with over 10 years’ experience supporting mental health and wellbeing across clinical, educational, and community settings. She holds a PhD and MSc in Psychology and has specialised expertise in positive psychology, stress management, resilience, anxiety, self-esteem, and wellbeing intervention development.

Jennifer works with both young children and adults, providing a compassionate, evidence-based, and person-centred approach tailored to individual needs. Her work integrates approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and positive psychology to support emotional wellbeing, confidence, coping skills, and personal growth.
Alongside her private practice work, Jennifer lectures in Psychology and has published research focused on wellbeing interventions and public health. She is passionate about creating a supportive and welcoming environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Outside of her professional work, Jennifer enjoys spending time by the sea, swimming, being outdoors, holistic wellbeing practices, and exploring her love of food, coffee and healthy living. She believes strongly in balance, connection, and supporting wellbeing in everyday life.
Meabh Doorly
Assistant Psychologist

Méabh Doorly is an Assistant Psychologist with a degree is Primary School Teaching and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Ulster University.

Meabh has a strong background in education and child development. She brings a warm, collaborative, and person-centred approach to her work, shaped by over six years of experience as a primary school teacher across mainstream, special education, and autism class settings. This has given her a strong understanding of children’s learning, emotional wellbeing, and neurodevelopmental needs across a range of environments.
Alongside her clinical work, she also works with C-Ability, supporting children in inclusive weekend clubs that promote confidence, belonging and social development.
She is passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces where people of all ages feel understood and supported.
